My name is Thembekile Mhlanga, I’m 19yrs old and I’m running to be Miss Canada ‘s beauty of Africa. I will be representing my beautiful country Zimbabwe, where I was born and raised,(incase you are wondering what my name means, it means TRUSTWORTHY).
I was born in the city of Queens and Kings, Bulawayo and was fortunate enough to experience growing up in the kind of lifestyle that’s different from the Canadian lifestyle. Due to that experience I was taught to appreciate what I have, especially when I moved to Canada . I am currently a first year student at Nait studying Business in Administration and majoring in Accounting.
In my 19 years of living I have realized that every individual is different in their own way and everyone has some sort of talent that’s what makes this world a very unique place, but the most important thing that I have realized is that if we combine those talents and work together specifically as African we can accomplish a lot of good in this world and I strongly believe that by doing that it will reduce the number of people living in destitute.
I am humbly grateful to be participating in this beauty pageant not only for my own benefit but for my people too.
Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu (a person is a person through other people).
Thank you so much for your support and see you on June 2nd, 2018
